Beardie Designs

In August 2001 I officially started to publish my designs under the name Beardie Designs.

There are 2 main categories, one being the Dutch Sampler Series, the other one being Accessories. Pictures of all the designs can be seen at the different pages, mentioned on the left.

For the Dutch samplers I research what kind of motif and/or color is representative for a particular area or town in the Netherlands.

For the accessories I still use sampler motifs, but the emphasis is on making items you can use for your stitching. Therefore finishing instructions are always included with these charts.

Also quite often I use overdyed threads and silk threads as they give your project a special touch. But for those who want to use DMC threads a conversion is given on the charts, where that is possible..

Why the name Beardie Designs

Actually there is a very simple answer to that. I had this lovely dog here at home, my own bearded collie, or also known as a Beardie, hence Beardie Designs.
Here is a photo of her, and I am sure you can all recognise her in my logo.

Where to buy

I only sell wholesale to shops. If you are interested in buying a chart, please contact your local/internet needleworkshop and ask for the chart or look at the page "Where to Buy", where there is a list of all shops currently carrying the designs.
